In Rwanda, housing is often far away from schools and markets: even water sources are not always nearby, causing people to walk several miles to access these things. To these people, a bicycle isn’t just a fun thing to ride…it is a symbol and a means of hope for a better life.

We are focused on mobilizing people so they can travel further and transport more through bicycles. For so many people in this world, one bike can completely change the lives of an entire community.

Rwanda is on the move, but slowly. Most Rwandans travel by foot – sometimes for hours – to attend school, reach the nearest market, or get medical attention. They walk from sunup to sundown to transport supplies along goat paths, fields, and busy roads.
